‘A story sadder than sadness’ is about Cream and K. As high school classmates, they share their loneliness, got close quickly, and filled the emptiness in each other. They depend on each other like a family or lovers. Years later, K is diagnosed with only a few months left to live. He kept his illness a secret because he does not want to hurt Cream by leaving her alone. He encourages her to start dating another man.
